![]() I talked to the front desk manager who was looking at their surveillance tapes for me, but the tapes don't cover the actual bag storage room. I submitted lost item reports to both Uber and the airline to no avail. I know they didn't fall out in the Uber or on the plane, and they weren't taken out while I was sitting at the airport. When I got the bag again an hour later, I noticed the zipper was open more than I would leave it, but I figured I must have been in a rush and to stop being picky about things that day. ![]() I put those items IN the bag as the last thing I did before we left the room, and then dropped it with my suitcase at bellhop. I was impressed.īut, my laptop bag was missing very important times when I got it back from bellhop. Nice crystal glasses in room and bathroom. I was happy it was a well appointed hotel with many details, even the best/air vent in the room was covered in a wood look grate instead of cheap plastic or metal. Overall, this was such a great place to stay - 5 stars all around and would recommend this as a place to stay! There is a light-rail and bus stop close by if you want to opt for public transportation. Many shops, restaurants and attractions are located within a few blocks from here. There is also a water dispenser with disposable cups, sanitary wipes to clean equipment, towels, and hand sanitizers. There is a small gym located on the third floor which includes weights, a floor mat, and some exercising machines (i.e. I've missed all the happy hours but I believe there are beers and coolers available to choose from. Pastries, muffins, coffee, and tea are available from 6-9 in the lobby and Happy Hour is between 5-7pm on weekdays. The security is tight where you'll need your hotel room key card to even get the elevator to move. Room service will only come every three days to tidy up the room. What I love about this spot is that the rooms and bathroom are absolutely spacious, the area is clean, and the room includes great amenities such as a mini fridge, wine glasses, safe, a bluetooth clock/speakers, and umbrellas (you'll definitely need this during the rainy seasons). Huge thank you to Tristan, Carl, and the staff that helped to get me my Manfrotto tripod back! And many thanks to the entire Dossier staff that helped make our latest family trip to Portland a fun and memorable one!Īwesome awesome awesome hotel in a perfectly centralized area of Downtown Portland!įirst off, this is such a vibe with their leather couches and vintage-cozy feel of a posh bar. 5) I had forgotten my camera tripod in our room when I left Portland to return to California and they quickly tracked it down and shipped it back to me. 4) We had an issue with our room (toilet flooded) and they immediately moved us to another room. 2) They were always quick to retrieve the car (valeted) within 10-15 minutes. While the rooms were nice, it was the great customer service that was most impactful for our stay: 1) We were always greeted by the staff at the front desk as we left or returned to the hotel. In the end, those two considerations probably didn't matter all too much (Lucia is only two blocks further away). I was initially considering the Lucia Hotel (both are owned by Provenance) but wanted to be a bit closer to Pioneer Courthouse Square for the easy access to transportation and perhaps slightly bigger rooms. It provided for that boutique feel and charm right in busy Downtown Portland. This is a great hotel at a very reasonable price. My family's two-night stay (July 2022) at the Dossier Hotel was excellent. If you're willing to compromise a bit of space for location and convenience, then Dossier will fit the bill as it is located within walking to so many places. Plus the $35 Valet wasn't bad at all either. And at $170ish a night from Friday to Monday, we didn't complain. The bed? Ultra comfortable hooked up with those crisp white lines I absolutely love to sleep on when I'm away. Rooms are modest but clean and bathroom is complete with a tub and shower. ![]() Unlike other reviews complaining about service, hubs and I had no issues. Coffee, apples and other light bites (I think) are offered during breakfast at the lobby counter located off to one side by the elevators.Įlectronic key card allows you to your floor and hotel room. Concierge were all cool, collected and helpful. While Dossier's lobby isn't soaring, it is crowned with soft warm lighting, nice smokey grey walls and greenery- making the entire area a cozy one as soon as you open the front door (or the side valet entrance). This was a nice hideaway right in the city to spend part of my Spring Recess visiting my daughter during the Good Friday-Easter weekend. Who says a hotel has to be sprawling? At Dossier, you get a nice sense of comfort- with a quaint and minimal feel.
